Alice is going through the motions so when her hiss suggests she goes pick grapes on a French vineyard, she says why not. Sometimes when your little world isn’t working for you, the only solution is to plop yourself into a new one. She was looking for some purpose and she found a heady summer romance, along with the most lovable crew of fellow harvesters.
This reads like air dried hair and linen dresses. The way Alice describes wine – or anything, really – is beautiful. How I ache to pull the most perfect representation of a taste or a feeling the way she does! Most of us have dreams of free falling into a summer fling and even more of us have dreams of being truly inspired. Alice sees both of those dreams become reality, which feels extra romantic.
